A very nice, warm recording (ambience reminds me of a forest in the rain), but not that great a show really. Plenty of highlights, especially the more "cowboy" tunes. I think they were pretty sick of the psychedelic stuff.

This China Cat has a unique intro which i always like. You know, spontaneous uniquity........

I believe this show represents the band in one of its primes. young, energetic, full of mistakes, full of adventure ( just listen to the Good Lovin) and am thrilled to have this in my collection, in my opinion by far the best recording from 1970, and seeing as though its one of my favorite years for dead shows ive listened to alot deep elm, cumberland, morning dew, good lovin, uncles johns band is a really nice progression of songs and closes this show nicely.

This is a very middle of the road performance. Most songs are played competently yet there are few if any truly colorful moments. Cold Rain and Snow suffers from spontaneous rearrangement, Uncle John's Band stumbles from lyrical amnesia. It Hurts Me Too is a highlight and Smokestack gets kind of hypnotic. The rest is fair to middling.
The sound quality, however, is superb. This is an amazing audience recording for any era, not to mention 1970. The differences between this recording and those made just one month earlier at Port Chester, the Anderson Theater, and Rochester are vast.

Yet Another taste of Pig, Hurts Me Too, Smokestack and Good Lovin' are classic Pig. The show has an overall bluesy feel in which this excellent AUD brings out to the fullest..

I just spent hours of downloading every concert of 1970, which is still available, and this is one of the best. I didnĀ“t listen to it completely yet, but it sounds really good. The band is right in the center, the audience can be heard just loud enough to get the energy of the concert, but is never annoying. I listened to recordings of the 80s and 90s which sounded much worse, and as the soundboards are gone anyways, you should really download this show
